The Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) is a national exam which all students need to take to get into university. It’s similar to the UK’s GCSE but much more challenging and there are only a few universities that accept HKDSE results as part of their entry requirements. There are three subjects you can choose from: English language, Chinese language and mathematics. Here’s how to get a good grade in HKDSE:- Study hard and revise for the exam. Use your textbook, notes and past papers to practice answering questions. You can also ask your teachers for help if you’re struggling with any topics or concepts.
- Make sure that you understand what is being asked of you before answering a question or writing an answer down on paper – don’t just guess! If there is any doubt in your mind about what the question is asking for, ask the teacher or another classmate who may know better than yourself (but make sure not everyone hears).
